2023 Trench Camp - Registration opens Friday!!

To provide high  level instruction in Offensive and Defensive line techniques and concepts to players born 2004 to 2009. The coaches will be experienced former Usports coaches, current Skyahwks coaches, and current and former CFL professional players. You do not have to be a Quinte Skyhawk player to participate. We want any Offensive or Defensive lineman looking to learn to be the best they can be to take part no matter where they play! Oline and Dline is a brotherhood no matter the colour of your jersey!

This one day camp will be a full equipment training environment that will involve periods of individual instruction as well as full contact competition in specific Oline vs Dline drills. The day will involve two instructional sessions  and a dinner and film review session in between. It is designed to give the participants the experience of participating in a one day USports level preseason training camp.

Mike MacDonald:

• Coached Offensive Line at the University of Guelph for 12 years, retiring after the 2021 Season.
• 2021 Gino Fracas Award winner as the USports Assistant Coach of the Year
• Has coached 11 offensive lineman who went on to play in the CFL.
• Has coached for over 40 years, multiple sports at multiple levels
• Currently coaches with the Quinte Skyhawks U 18 Varsity team and the U 23 CJFL Skyhawks.

Brian Cluff

• Played and then coached Dline at the University of Guelph for a combined 35 years retiring after the 2020 season.
• 2011 Gino Fracas Award Winner as the USports Assistant Coach of the Year
• Has coached 8 Defensive lineman who went on the play in the CFL
• Has Coached for over 40 years, multiple sports at multiple levels.

Coutler Woodmansey

• 6’5” 305 lbs Offensive Lineman
• Currently plays Offensive Line for the Hamilton Tiger Cats of the CFL.
• Played four years at the University of Guelph, finishing his career as an All Canadian and was drafted by the TiCats in the 1^st round of the 2020 CFL Draft, the first USports player selected.

Erik Starzcala

• 6’6” 310 lbs Offensive Lineman
•  Currently plays for the Ottawa Red Blacks of the CFL
• Played 5 years at the University of Guelph, finishing his career as an OUA All Star and was drafted by the Toronto Argonauts in the 7^th round of the 2019 CFL Draft

Andrew Pickett

• 6’5” 310 lbs. former Offensive Lineman
• Played Oline for the Ottawa Red Blacks and the Hamilton Tiger Cats of the CFL
• Played 4 years at the University of Guelph, Finishing his career as an All Canadian and was drafted in the 3^rd round of the 2018 CFL Draft by the Ottawa Red Blacks
• Retired from the CFL in 2022.

Daniel MacDonald

• He was a long snapper for the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2016.
• He played at Guelph for 5 years as a FB and LS.
• Drafted in the 7th round in the CFL draft by the Argos

AJ Allen

• LB/DE for Saskatchewan Roughriders.
• 2021 OUA Stand Up Defensive Player of the Year
• All Canadian from the University of Guelph

Jared Beeksma

• LB with the Hamilton Ti-Cats
• OUA Allstar played at the University of Guelph
